This listing is for a model of a New York Central J3a Hudson in the streamlined cladding designed by renowned industrial designer, Henry Dreyfuss. These iconic steam locomotives were the heroines of the water level route. This Rivarossi model was made for the European market (the box is labeled in the Italian). It is also seen in one of the photos that the tender is equipped at the factory with the typical Rivarossi “pick-axe” style coupler to operate with the European style buckle couplers. The locomotive will, of course, function in North America, Japan, Oceania, or worldwide for that matter. Any place with HO DC analogue supply can operate this amazing piece of Americana. I tested it for the listing and all went well. I really enjoyed testing it. This is a beautiful model in excellent condition and I hate to have to sell it.
