This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good. This model was painted by the previous owner. There are visible paint imperfections, uneven trim lines, and black smudges on the grey trim. The paint has a matte finish. Both the locomotive and tender display a few light paint nicks, scratches, and light wheel wear from previous use. You are looking at a Hallmark Model brass MKT 2-8-2. It is in very good shape, looks great and is not missing any parts nor is anything broken. The original drivers had two bad insulated wheels, which is common with all these models. All the drivers have been replaced and the originals are in a bag in the box. The locomotive moves forward and backwards but the gear box jams up after one rotation, Im sure this is a simple fix. Hallmark Models Brass HO Scale 2-8-2 Steam Locomotive. Midland Valley # 601. Not many models of this railroad were ever made! I did test run this. It runs very well in both directions. It has been remotored with a Can Motor. The coal bunker has had the paint scratched off for a load possibly? Riginal Box is in pretty good condition.
