In the 1930s, NOHAB built 5 locomotives of the L5 series for the Swedish State Railways in Trollhättan. A special feature is the inner engine of the locomotive, the valve gear is built inside the loco’s chassis frame. The last locomotive was used in 1970s, and the series was retired. The drive is based on a Märklin® 8803 model. This is not part of this kit. Most of the parts needed for this modification have been made with etched stainless steel metal parts.
