The original power plant was a 3 Pole armature. I’ve replaced it with a new 5 pole armature. The unit has been bench tested only not on a lay out. I don’t have one. Everything that I could do to improve this classic locomotive I have tried to do. New brushes were installed. The chassis is in very nice condition. Realistic detailing and painting. Although the item has been test run it should still be run through your roundhouse, because it has been in storage. This item would make a great addition to any ones train layout LARGE or SMALL.
