Hello and Thank You for shopping with FROGNTURTLE. Up for sale is an HO Scale Monon 4-6-2 Brass Class’K-5a’ Steam Locomotive & Tender which is DC. The engine has been tested using a Rail Power 1200 DC System and standard brass track. The engine lights up, powers up quickly and runs smoothly around the track. The engine in my opinion is in Excellent condition. The engine in the photos is the actual engine that is for sale. I do my best to list any defects in the item description. The locomotive is from my father’s personal collection. He has decided to part with a couple of his top locomotives. As a lifetime model railroader, he has acquired an incredible collection of engines, cars, buildings, figurines and supplies. This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent. This brass engine showcases exquisite detail! This item has been professionally painted by Heywood Studios. The shell has been removed. Stripped the gear box of dried grease and lubricate. Cleaned the wheels on the tender and the tender body/truck contacts. There is a loose trim piece on the roof that connects to the bell. There is some lightly chipped paint. Even though there are some minor imperfections, this brass locomotive and tender will make an impressive addition to any collection! There is a small area of chipped paint on the top of the pilot of the locomotive, and there are a few feint scratches along the body of the tender. Additionally, the hatch cover on the tender is missing a hinge. However, even though there are some minor imperfections, this brass locomotive and tender will make an impressive addition to any collection!
