Overland Models HO Scale Monon’K-5a’ 4-6-2 Steam Locomotive #443 (Post War) DC
Hello and Thank You for shopping with FROGNTURTLE. Up for sale is an HO Scale Monon 4-6-2 Brass Class’K-5a’ Steam Locomotive & Tender which is DC. The engine has been tested using a Rail Power 1200 DC System and standard brass track. The engine lights up, powers up quickly and runs smoothly around the track. The engine in my opinion is in Excellent condition. The engine in the photos is the actual engine that is for sale. I do my best to list any defects in the item description. The locomotive is from my father’s personal collection. He has decided to part with a couple of his top locomotives. As a lifetime model railroader, he has acquired an incredible collection of engines, cars, buildings, figurines and supplies. He has very meticulously built cars and kits paying specific attention to details. He is in the process of thinning out his massive collection. He has kept all items in like new condition. The GS-4 runs on eight massive 80 drivers. 300lbs psi boiler pressure, and puts out a roaring 5,500 horsepower at 55mph. With a maximum speed of 110 mph. The large drivers gave the locomotive a high top speed. The telling mark of a steam engine built for passenger service. The GS-4 was built for the Southern Pacific Railroad by the Lima Locomotive Works. And delivered in the early 1940s for the SP’s premier passenger trains. Finding its way to the Daylight series of name trains. One of the more unique specifications for the GS-4 by the SP was its Mars light. Otherwise looks to be overall in good shape. A few broken couplers and a railing but nothing major. Box has some tape and age but is still mostly intact. Vtg Kit Bash B&O Locomotive Prewar Post War O Scale 4-4-0 Brass No Tender Steam
This locomotive does NOT run, the cab/roof needs to be re-attached. This will need attention. Older kit bash B&O 4-4-0 steam locomotive, #456, seemingly made of brass and hand painted. Check them out while supplies last! No tender included in this sale. Additional details, the locomotive does not run, however, the wheels are not locked up. There is a front coupler present and it is original. This is an old Walthers coupler and is different than the typical O scale couplers of today. This may or may not affect the way this car couples with your modern stock. Just a reminder that the loco does not run and the cab/roof needs to be re-attached.
