Product Listing – KATO N Scale C56 160 Steam Locomotive 2020-2. KATO N Scale C56 160 Steam Locomotive 2020-2. C56 160 is the last C56 and was active in various places during the JNR era. It was transferred to Umekoji Locomotive Depot in 1972 and has been preserved as a working locomotive to this day. It is famous as a steam locomotive that has never been scrapped (deregistered) along with C57 1. Since the JNR era, it has been operated all over the country, and has been operated in Hokkaido, Tohoku, Kanto, Hokuriku, Shikoku, and also by the third sector. Since 1987, it has been active mainly on the Yamaguchi Line as the SL “Yamaguchi”, and has been seen in double-headed operation with C57 1 and DD51. Since 1995, it has been operated several times a year as the towing engine of the “SL Kita Biwako”. In 2018, it was replaced by the D51 200, and it is no longer operated on the main line, but it is still in use to pull the “SL Steam” train that runs within the Kyoto Railway Museum.
