The model is nicely constructed with excellent detail (the cab especially) and a very good paint job (initially). The loco was built in the late 1980s and I must have used different garter blue paints for the tender and the loco (enamel and non-enamel possibly). Result is the colours are noticeably different some 40 years on. The paintwork therefore needs some attention. Furthermore the LNER lettering on the tender is inconsistently spaced. The motor is the recommended Anchoridge D13. Cannot tell for sure without taking the model to bits. In order to run, the loco needs the attention of someone with model engineering loco skills – a complete strip down and motor servicing.
