K-Line New York Central. I tested this engine and it worked nice. Forward, neutral and reverse work nice as well as rear back-up light, smoke unit, whistle and all marker lights. I wanted to point out that it is a little dusty beyond what I was able to clean, I noticed some scrape marks in the finish on the top of the engine and the engine is missing the bell. Also there is no engineer figure and the front chain is broken. There may be other issues, but those are what I noticed. Very heavy metal engine and tender. The box has some shelf wear and creasing. The inner Styrofoam cradle is missing the top so I protected the unit with fresh tissue paper and tapped it into the box with cardboard. There is no manual with this offering. This is a Legendary Lionel 763E Semi-Scale Hudson Steam Locomotive with Tender from 1937-42. This item has been graded per TCA standards C-5: Good. This unit has been cleaned and lubricated. The motor armature and E unit drum have been cleaned. This item has been re-wired at various points. The engine runs well. The whistle on the tender works. There are several rust spots on the frame of the locomotive. The tender shell is spidercracking and shattered. There is glue residue on the shell of the tender, as well. Lionel O Gauge 763E black semi-scale Hudson locomotive and 2226W tender from circa 1941-2. Loco has been serviced and works well; tender whistle works. Castings are all good. Frame is straight and theres a nice gap under the cowcatcher (see photos). 2226W tender is known for having a high coupler. Paint is in Excellent to Excellent Plus (C7 to C7+) condition, however the lettering on the loco is a bit weak. In overall Excellent (C7) condition. Great for the operator to run on a layout! Lionel OO/00 gauge 2 rail semi-scale set with 004 locomotive, 004W tender, 0074 box car, 0075 silver tank car & 0077 caboose. The loco is rubber-stamped 5432 in silver below the cab window, and 004 on the inside of the cab roof. Came with a twelve wheel New York Central tender stamped 004W on the bottom. Includes the original box for the 0074 box car. This set is for use on two rail track. This example is in Excellent (C7) condition. The engine probably has the wrong screws on front & rear trucks (see pictures). The motor runs but definitely need servicing. The E unit lockout pin is missing so loco runs forward only. PREWAR LIONEL 227 SEMI-SCALE 0-6-0 DIE CAST PRR STEAM SWITCHER WITH 2227B BELL RINGING TENDER. LOT DESCRIPTION: As the title says this lot consists of a Prewar Semi-scale Lionel 227, 0-6-0, Die Cast Pennsylvania Railroad steam switcher with the correct matching 2227B Bell ringing Tender that was made in the early 1940s.. The locomotive has a operating headlight and automatic front coupler and the die cast tender has the all metal staple end trucks with coil coupler and it also has the bell ringing feature and a back up light. Both pieces are all original Post War Lionel including all original paint, letters and numbers. DESCRIPTION OF CONDITION: The locomotive and tender are both in collector quality condition. The loco casting is perfect, no breaks, cracks or chips. Both classification lights (often broken off) are perfect as are the front cowcatcher steps. No rust or missing parts, great color, numbers nice and clear, drive rods and wheels all fine as is the front coupler. The tender too looks fine, no cracks, breaks or chips on the shell, lettering nice and sharp, coupler in great shape. Wires to connect the tender to the loco are fine. No real issues here at all, hardly a mark on the set. Again, a really great looking set that IMHO I would rate as in C-7, excellent plus condition but look at the pictures and you be the judge for the pictures are an important part of the description and say more than my words ever can. WORKING CONDITION: I have cleaned, serviced and tested the locomotive and it runs and reverses just fine, a little slow but probably just needs ran (been packed away for the past 50+ years), the headlight works fine, the e-unit cycles fine, the belling ringer works fine and, the tender rear light works too. I usually leave feedback once every 7 to 10 days and only after I have received feedback. LOOK AT THE PICTURES, READ THE DESCRIPTIONS. Leaving negative feedbacks without first trying to resolve the issue is not to neither of our benefits. Ask now, not after you have won the item!
