American Flyer Pre-War O Scale #1681 Hudson Locomotive only, Runs, OB, and the headlight works. The engine runs in both forward and reverse but the reverse unit is noisy. The condition of the zinc castings, boiler, cab, boiler front, pilot, steam chest, etc. Look fine, and show no metal fatigue. The drive wheels do not show any metal fatigue. Small zinc casted wheels have fatigue, chips, etc. -see photos– The original box is in good condition but dirty. It has only 1 number stamped on the box which may have reflected a set number. LGB CHRISTMAS LOCOMOTIVE & TENDER SANTA CLAUS G Scale

LGB G Scale Santa Claus Steam Locomotive and tender. From the estate of local legend Paul Hayes this locomotive and tender was used in his annual Christmas holiday decoration extravaganza! People would come from all over to see this huge display at his home here in Brick, NJ. I connected power to the locomotive and the wheels turned/motor ran. Other then the minimal testing I did I found a few other things to mention, has light scratches, marks, broken whistle on top (pictured and what looks like the part is included) needs new traction tires and may have other cosmetic issues or broken piece I may have missed. This does NOT come with original boxes. I’d also recommend oiling the engine before running it for any length of time as it’s been stored for a while. Nice looking heavy well built locomotive!
