Hornby R30403 BR Saint Class David 2920 Loco Steam Model Scale 1:76 Gauge. Of the 77 Saint Class members built by GWR between 1902 and 1913, 2920’Saint David’ was one of the 47 that survived beyond nationalisation of Britain’s railways in 1948. Part of the third batch of 20 to be built in 1907, the locomotive was new to Cardiff Canton shed. It underwent several changes during its career, including the fitting of a superheated boiler in 1909 and outside steam pipes in December 1932. This model is presented in BR livery, the condition in which it operated through to its withdrawal in October 1953, by which point it was one of the last four still in service. We developed this with the helpful guidance from the Didcot Railway Center who kindly gave us access to their archive of drawings and access to the Lady of Legend locomotive. The Saint class model features a powerful 5 pole skew wound motor and flickering firebox, and is designed to be fully compatible with the HM7000 21-Pin decoder for full DCC and sound control. Later style curved frame chassis design. Fluted diecast piston rods. Later safety Valve with Top Feeds. Common Saint Class Features. High detail OO Gauge model based on extensive research and original works drawings. Die-cast Chassis and Running Plate. Model Weight is 341 grams. High detail cab and fully decorated backhead with decorated instrument dials. HM7000 21-Pin sound decoder compatible. HM7000 Power Bank compatible. Powerful 5 Pole Skew wound motor. Quick release locomotive to tender connector. Electrical pickups on main drive wheels and tender wheels. Die-cast Piston Rods & valve gear. Fully decorated crew figures. Prototypical size metal handrails with brass stanchions. Brass main drive bearings. Front and Rear NEM coupling pocket. Lamp code can be changed. Separately fitted simulated coal load. Bassett Lowke Coarse Scale O Gauge 3-Rail BR Blue 4-4-0 Steam Locomotive No. 62078’Prince Charles’ Overview Condition: Good overall condition, strong and sturdy, but with some structural damage – it looks like the model has taken an impact on the can roof which has buckled the front cab wall. There is also a bend on the front corner of the tender. Please see close-up photos for the extent of the issues. Because of the metal construction of the model, it could be possible to carefully bend the sections back into shape. There are some chips to the paintwork, particularly on the buffer beam. However, overall we still think this model is in good condition for its age and has a nice, vintage look. Operational Status: Tested and runs well in both directions. Although this shares the body of the clockwork model that was also released (as can be seen from the winding hole on the side), this is the 3-rail electric version. Please note this model will run on 3-rail systems only. Overall condition, strong and sturdy, but with some structural damage – it looks like the model has taken an impact on the can roof which has buckled the front cab wall. Rivarossi HR2892S Db Steam Locomotive 055 632-4 Black/red Gauge 1:87 Scale. The Royal Prussian State Railway put the D-coupled hot steam locomotive type G 8.1 into service in 1913. Robustly built and powerful, the BR 55. Locomotives, as they were known from the end of the 1920s, were in service with both the German and some European railway administrations until well after the Second World War. It was not until 1972 that the DB took the last locomotives out of service. The new Rivarossi models in brief. Chassis, wheelsets, boiler, and tender made from die-cast zinc; bodyshell made of high-grade, finely detailed injection-moulded plastic. High-efficiency five-pole motor with flywheel for smooth running? All locomotive axles are driven. Two wheels equipped with traction tyres for maximum tractive effort. Length over buffers: 210 mm. Minimum operating radius: 356.5 mm (R1). Firebox glows red-orange and flickers realistically under digital control (simulated firebox flicker). Fully detailed cab interior featuring separately applied components and printed cab curtains. Close-coupling kinematics between locomotive and tender for minimal buffer distances. Screw-type drawbar between loco and tender, length-adjustable for prototypical distances. NEM 362 coupling pockets at both ends for standard coupler compatibility. NEM 660 (21-pin MTC) digital decoder interface for easy DCC upgrade. Item Length – Without Packaging (cm). Item Height – Without Packaging (cm). Item Width – Without Packaging (cm).
