Here is a Westside Model Co. HO Scale Brass ATSF 2-10-2 Steam Locomotive & Tender. The locomotive features unpainted brass construction, metal siderods, metal wheels, and… This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent. Several trim parts near the cowcoatcher on the locomotive have slightly tarnished. The shaft coupling between the gearbox and motor has been changed. Part of the valve gear was soldered into position. This unit bench tested good. The original box is included, along with the foam liner. The liner is in great shape. Overall condition is Excellent. The three-cylinder 4-12-2 design used a pair of conventional cylinders that powered the third driving axle while an additional cylinder, mounted in the locomotive frame, drove the second axle. True to the prototype, the Lionel 4-12-2 includes detailed Gresley valve gear in front of the third cylinder and an operational, reciprocating third drive rod in the locomotive frame. Almost 90 locomotives of this type were built by ALCo by 1930. Of these enormous locomotives, the #9000 is preserved in Pomona, California. LGB 2085D 0-6-6-0 Mallet Steam Locomotive G Scale. This locomotive is modified as shown in the photos, a cow catcher was added. This big boy runs great but hasn’t been run for more than 5 minutes in the past 5 years or so. I would recommend a tune up just to keep it in tip top shape. Not that it’s not. Yes the price is really low but there are a few scratches on the left rear corner (see photos) not that you can really see them but if you look with a magnifying glass you can see them pretty easily.
