KATO N gauge C12 2022-1 Railway model Steam locomotive. Product size?
19.3 x 4.39 x 3 cm; 99.79 g. KATO’s smallest steam locomotive, the C12. This compact car body has been accurately recreated. It reproduces the appearance around 1970, when steam locomotives were nearing their end. This steam locomotive can pass through a small radius of R150, making it suitable for operation in small layouts and small spaces. The C12 is equipped with a coreless motor with a flywheel, which is standard equipment for KATO steam locomotives, and has excellent low-speed running performance. It reproduces the running performance suitable for local lines. The leading, driving, and trailing wheels reproduce the realistic appearance of the recent specification with no spokes. The air-acting tubes are printed with copper tubes. There are no white lines on the running board. The headlights at the front and rear are lit on the side facing the direction of travel. There is no switch to turn them off. The headlights are LP42, equipped with an ATS generator, and the sand-spreading tubes are reproduced as early types with separate front and rear distribution. Selectable number plates are included. Car numbers are 42, 46, 51, and 67. A more realistic replacement knuckle coupler (rear) is included. One each of Arnold coupler and knuckle coupler for multiple units (for reverse driving) is included so that you can easily recreate the advantage of reverse driving of tank locomotives. Great Western Railways 0-6-2 5600 Class 5622 Hand Built Metal OO Scale Electric Locomotive. The locomotive is of hand built metal construction, believed to be from a Wills Finecast kit. My Uncle would have built it and painted it for his extensive model railway that extended over four rooms in his attic. It was a scale model of the Great Western Railway from Euston. The locomotive is in good order but not tested.
