K-Line New York Central. I tested this engine and it worked nice. Forward, neutral and reverse work nice as well as rear back-up light, smoke unit, whistle and all marker lights. I wanted to point out that it is a little dusty beyond what I was able to clean, I noticed some scrape marks in the finish on the top of the engine and the engine is missing the bell. Also there is no engineer figure and the front chain is broken. There may be other issues, but those are what I noticed. Very heavy metal engine and tender. The box has some shelf wear and creasing. The inner Styrofoam cradle is missing the top so I protected the unit with fresh tissue paper and tapped it into the box with cardboard. There is no manual with this offering. Welcome to our Auctions! We are here to sell items! Description for the Ladies. Ladies, do you want to impress your boyfriend or husband this Christmas? This is the ultimate Christmas Present for him if he is a Lionel Train Collector. Beautiful 1937 Lionel 700E Scale New York Central Hudson 5344. This is a very good investment and could be resold at any time very easily. Take a look at the photos and see for yourself. Beautiful condition and runs up and down the track just like it should. Description for the Gentlemen. Guys, we all know what we are looking at here. Made from 1937 until 1942. Lionel 700E Scale New York Central 5344 Hudson 4-6-4. Super rare and hard to find. A friend says its unubtanium as in you just cant really find them. Take a look at the photos and you can see for yourself this one is in excellent condition. Serial number 011157 not sure if this is true or not but read that 01, means first year made (1937) and then 1157 would be 1,157 locomotive made. Rear screw of front truck has a washer added to it, obviously doesn’t belong as its bright silver. 1/8 between front pilot and top of the rail. No bent frame or damage. Was lightly oiled and motor is free. Runs forward and reverse without any problems or issues. Doesn’t show much wear on the rollers or drivers. Missing plug to locomotive (not sure if all of them had the plug and whistle or not). Missing whistle inside tender shell is empty. Not sure if all the tenders had the whistle or not. Small 1/16 or smaller hole in the coal load that is not noticeable. Not sure if this is supposed to be there or not. Rear coupler screw replaced with a bolt. Again not sure if this is correct or not. Its literally impossible to find information on these locos for tune up, or variations. All you can go by is someone elses photos and auctions. Locomotive will be wrapped in paper towels then wrapped in bubble wrap, then wrapped in cardboard. Tender will be wrapped in paper towels then wrapped in bubble wrap, then wrapped in cardboard.
