Custom CNJ Camelback N Scale Bachmann 2-6-2

This is a custom-built Central Railroad of New Jersey 2-6-2 Camelback. It is built using a Bachmann 2-6-2, and still has the stock Rapido couplers. It is a DC locomotive. It has its original Bachmann jewel-case with the insert modified to accommodate the custom Camelback shell. Engine has been tested with analog DC control on a club layout using an MRC Tech 2 power-pack and runs fine in both the forward and reverse directions at reasonable speeds. The locomotive has been in storage for a few years, so it could benefit from a proper run-in period before entering regular service on your layout. NJ Brass Reading Class L7sb 4-6-0 Camelback made by KSM in Korea and imported in 1982. Locomotive is in good condition and is custom painted. Paint looks good, there is an engineer figure added, and it has been decorated as Cab 611. Model runs great in both directions and has a can motor. Lots of original foam has lost its memory or is deteriorating and will not serve its intended purpose. I replace or remove inferior foam, use additional padding, water proof, and wrap with plenty of bubble wrap and air pillows as needed. I use oversized boxes with all seams taped ensuring that you don’t receive a box of “parts”. I pay special attention to my brass items, as many have been cherished for decades, were handmade, and deserve to remain a part of modeling history. Thanks for looking at Cherry Picked Trains! A couple of notes. I take packing seriously! I use bubble wrap, plenty of packing material, and sturdy boxes. Loose cars will be wrapped in tissue paper, then bubble wrap. NJ Brass Reading Class G3 4-6-2 Locomotive and Tender made by KSM in Korea and imported in 1979. Very nice model with SoundTraxx Tsunami DCC/Sound. Model runs really nicely, and sounds great. Features back head detail and can motor. Custom paint looks good, the decals are showing a little haziness. Lights installed and working, speaker in tender connected with bi pin plug. Model shows some wheel wear, and holes in tender for speaker could have been drilled a little neater. This features beautiful upainted brass construction, metal wheels and axles, presic… This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good. This locomotive is in wonderful condition and sure to please any collector! However, there is a section of broken railing trim on one side of this unit. The instruction manual is not included. The locomotive shown is brand new from Kato, N Scale 4-8-4 DC Steam Locomotive. It has had a new boiler shell applied that was custom painted to match the excursion era Union Pacific 4-8-4 Northern, #8444. The proptotype locomotive operated in this paint scheme for a number of years starting in 1989. This is not a used item, it is brand new and custom decorated for Wahsatch Model Trains.
