SPECIAL NOTES: Engine Cab # 89. FEATURES: 3 Rail Lionel – Transformer Controlled – Forward Neutral Reverse Operation – Conventional Railsounds Sound System – 16 Long – Synchronized Fan-Driven Smoke Unit – Heavy Weight Diecast Metal Body Frame Pilot – Engine and Tender – Magnetic Coupler – Owners Manual and all original Papers / Paperwork / Accessories / Box. I think this was before TMCC and such, making this a Conventionally run Engine. Some people do not have their layouts wired for the latest gadgets and may love to own this Strasburg 2-6-0 that looks identical to the latest releases with all the new computer parts. Displayed on Shelf only and dusted with Air regularly. I do NOT have a layout or a Transformer so electric has NEVER touched this motor. Also means it’s NEVER been tested except maybe at the factory. When I say NEVER TESTED – it is not a sneaky way to sell while not admitting something is wrong. It has NEVER felt electricity to the engine because I do not want or need or have a way to run this engine. It was bought strictly as a display unit.. And it looks really good on display. Even the box with this one is near perfect. The life and performance of this locomotive depends, to a considerable extent, upon proper care and lubrication of the motor, trucks and other moving parts. As with all used locomotives, I do recommend a thorough cleaning and complete lubrication periodically and before initial use. A small amount of oil and lubricant, properly applied, goes a long way towards long life and great performance. PLEASE LOOK AT PHOTOS to verify you are happy with the condition.
