Introduced at the turn of the 20th century, the 2-8-2 was an innovator breaking from the traditional manufacturing of locomotives, and featuring a larger firebox paving the way for greater speeds at a higher rate of power! The Mikado would undergo a temporary name change after the Pearl Harbor bombing in 1941 shortly going by the McArthur, before eventually going back to the Mikado name after WW2. The locomotive features unpainted brass construction, metal wheels, metal siderods, and a motor. All original: minute scratches and paint nicks; no rust or missing parts; no distortion of parts.
