Chesapeake & Ohio 2-8-2 Mikado class K-3 with Vanderbilt tender made in Japan by United and imported in 1978. Model has very nice detail, backhead, cab deck plate, etc. Shows negligible wheel wear, most likely testing. Can motor is nice and quiet, model runs very nicely. Original box in great condition with minor scuff on from lower right. Lots of original foam has lost its memory or is deteriorating and will not serve its intended purpose. I replace or remove inferior foam as needed, use additional padding, water proof, and wrap with plenty of bubble wrap and air pillows. I use oversized boxes with all seams taped ensuring that you don’t receive a box of “parts”. I pay special attention to my brass items, as many have been cherished for decades, were handmade, and deserve to remain a part of modeling history. Thanks for looking at Cherry Picked Trains!
