This model was made between 56′-59′ and has lathe turned details, some early castings, and open motor and gearbox. Tested and runs pretty well, could use additional lubrication and cleaning. Model has tarnish consistent with its age. Overall a very nice pre-1960 brass locomotive and tender. Lots of original foam has lost its memory or is deteriorating and will not serve its intended purpose. I replace or remove inferior foam, use additional padding, water proof, and wrap with plenty of bubble wrap and air pillows as needed. I use oversized boxes with all seams taped ensuring that you don’t receive a box of “parts”. I pay special attention to my brass items, as many have been cherished for decades, were handmade, and deserve to remain a part of modeling history. Thanks for looking at Cherry Picked Trains!
