This O16.5 / NG7 Taliesin-inspired Single Fairlie body kit is designed for 7mm scale narrow gauge layouts. Inspired by the famous Ffestiniog Railway locomotive, the model is intended to fit a modified Hornby 0-4-0 chassis and is suitable for O scale narrow gauge modelling. This resin printed body kit has been designed to fit a modified Hornby 0-4-0 chassis such as Hornby Smokey Joe / Hornby Holden tank. This chassis was chosen as a simple, entry level chassis. The model could be adapted to another suitable 0-4-0 chassis The model uses a powered front bogie with a separate trailing bogie to give reliable running on tight O16.5 curves while still capturing the character of a small Fairlie locomotive. The articulated front and rear bogie mechanisms run with full bearings, helping the model handle the sort of tight curves and gradients often found on compact O16.5 narrow gauge layouts.
