1 INCH SCALE ALLCHIN TRACTION ENGINE. Superb and rare Markie live steam 1 inch scale model of a Burrell traction engine, beautifully detailed with all usual fitments. Spirit fired and only low signs of use (please see photos). Comes with fuel trailer that was optional extra at the time. Comes with expired original boiler certificate and also certificate of manufacture from the factory. The only faults that i can see are the following. Steering chain snapped on one side but replacement present. Lid missing from oil reservoir on top of piston. The bar that the smokebox door handle screws into is detached. The gear selector cogs are a bit loose so will require tightening/spacing. SUPERB LOOKING ENGINE AND COMPLETE WITH FUEL TRAILER. Here we have for sale a beautiful large Markie scenic showmans engine, this is the full size Markie 1:10 scale so a bit bigger than 1 scale not to be confused with the little gem version. This engine is the full coal fired version with grate and water gauge, pressure gauge and hand pump in the belly tank. These shine up beautifully all the ornamental brass and fittings polish up beautifully and this will look a treat cleaned up. Ive owned a few of these, this one is in very nice condition but could do with added details to bring it to life, notably canopy lighting which is available on here or you can produce yourself, these engines generate well and this one is fitted with the scenic spec exciter. The engine is complete as shown, complete with winch cable, rear scenic crane, chimney extension and some paperwork from Markie. A beautiful and heavy engine it is over two feet long and a great showpiece or good start for a running engine. These are rare engines in full size 1:10 and coal fired. MARKIE 1 INCH SCALE. LIVE STEAM AGRICULTURAL TRACTION ENGINE. An early 1 inch scale Markie (Farnham engineering) live steam traction engine that has seen little use and looks in excellent condition finished in authentic green & red. The engine comes with unused rubber bands for both front and back wheels, instructions, leaflets and a spare pressure gauge with washers. The original boiler certificate from Fareham engineering is also present. T he only faults I can see are that the steering chain is loose so will need wrapping around the turning axle and the allen screw on the bottom gear disc to the driving wheel needs tightening as it is not holding tight to the rear axle hence rear wheels are not turning with engine (I don’t have an allen key that small). This is built by Markie, (Tony Pearce Designs) beautiful well proportioned engine, built in very low numbers by hand in the UK this is a rare engine and beautifully finished. Complete with build certificate and boiler certificate. Complete with everything you would expect, gas fired, hand pump, water and pressure gauges, whistle, crank driven pump with bypass, working belly tanks, dynamo and lighting, mechanical lubricator, tow behind bowser / gas tank etc etc. Very powerful, solid, well engineered engine around 2 feet long and is simply stunning with lots of extra detail. Very satisfying to use and look at. The engine features two speed gearing, working winch, and wealth of other detail and working features. She is well painted and lined. Any questions please ask.
