Aster Baldwin B1 0-4-2 45mm Live Steam Locomotive G Scale Garden Railway LGB

Early 1980’s G gauge Aster Baldwin B1 0-4-2 live steam locomotive. Internally meths fired with slip eccentrics, double acting cylinders with D valves, blower, regulator, lubricator, pressure gauge and water gauge. Untested but in good overall condition. I can’t see any mechanical faults. The wheels and motion move freely in both directions. The blower and regulator open and close as they should. Crucially this has had the burner and flue modifications done professionally. The burner has been re-designed to remove the front wick and the flue above it has been plugged. These mods are critical to performance as many owners of these found that the front wick had a tendency to blow out leaving the corresponding flue to draw in cold air. The wheels have been painted red and the hinged rear section of the roof is missing. There is a kink in the left hand railings on the tender. All other details are present. You’ll need a blower fan to raise steam and a trackside water pump or similar to add water to the boiler as these are not included. Please see my other items. 16mm NGM Association member. Powerful 7-pole Bühler precision can-type ball-bearing motor. Numerous molded-on and separately applied details including lights, brake cylinders, bumpers, smoke stack, tanks, piping, handrails, and more. Comes with working 5-volt smoke unit. Operating white directional lighting with switchable chassis lighting. Detailed interior with engineer figure. Digital DCC decoder and sound ready (Use a PIKO #36222 sound kit in conjunction with PIKO loco decoder #36122). NOTE: Locomotive will run on Analog DC, but sound functions ONLY on Digital DCC.
