Originally produced 1976-79, the R063 model is supplied with a ringfield motor in the tender. This is a superb representation of the Brtannia class loco and will not disappoint.
In the 1930s, NOHAB built 5 locomotives of the L5 series for the Swedish State Railways in Trollhättan. A special feature is the inner engine of the locomotive, the valve gear is built inside the loco’s chassis frame. The last locomotive was used in 1970s, and the series was retired. The drive is based on a Märklin® 8803 model. This is not part of this kit. Most of the parts needed for this modification have been made with etched stainless steel metal parts. It does look like it has been made by Samhongsa or similar, but has no markings other than the KTM gearbox. One of the pipe mounts on the left side under the cab has broken and needs to be glued back into position.
