Bachmann G Scale 4-6-0 Locomotive Denver & Rio Grande – ANNIVERSARY MODEL- Rare. This loco is of the Denver & Rio Grande Rail Road. It is a Limited Edition anniversary model which was only released. For a short time and was much more expensive than the. Ordinary models due to the higher quality of the fittings, details and especially. The wheel bearings and larger motor and improved power pick-up system. (It picks-up power from the brass wheel bearings rather than the wheels). Also it is much heavier than. The normal models as it has a much heavier internal weight. All round a much better loco! With Directional Lights, Steam Sound System in the tender. And REAL wood fuel (Not plastic) in the tender. The tender has the directional rear light and the steam sound system both of which. Connect to the loco. By the connecting cables at the front of the tender. There is a large about 3 approx. Speaker in the base of the tender below. The sound PCB and. The switch/volume control knob is now at the top/rear of. Now it is easy to set the volume without taking the tender off the track! We had it moved from it’s original position under the base where it was virtually. To the top where it is easy to reach! You can see the original hole under the base in the photo above. The loco also has a smoke generator which looks to have been very little used. The on/off switch for this is inside the smokebox door along with a polarity switch. One little thing – The smokebox door catch doesn’t work so. I have just put a little bit of blue tack inside which hold it closed beautifully! There is also a battery box in the tender which takes a 9v battery to power. The sound system lasts ages! The wood pile lifts up should you ever need to access the PCB. And speaker etc which you probably won’t! But it’s nice to. Be able to have a look from time to time. Please examine photos above.
