KATO N Scale C12 2022-1 Steam Locomotive Model Railway. KATO’s smallest steam locomotive, the C12, has been accurately reproduced in its compact body. The steam locomotive was in its final stage of production around 1970. This steam locomotive can pass through R150 of small radius and is suitable for operation in small layouts and small spaces. Equipped with a coreless motor with flywheel, which is a standard feature of KATO steam locomotives, the C12 has excellent low-speed running performance and is suitable for local lines. The leading wheel, driving wheel, and driven wheel have been reproduced in the recent specifications with the spokes removed for a realistic appearance. Air action tubes are pre-printed with copper tubes. No runboard white line. Front lights are on both front and rear in the direction of travel. The front light is LP42, equipped with ATS generator, and the sanding pipe is reproduced as the early type of the front and rear. Selectable number plate included. Car numbers are 42, 46, 51, and 67. Replacement knuckle couplers (rear) are included for more realistic appearance. Arnold couplers and knuckle couplers for back-up operation are included to easily reproduce back-up operation, which is an advantage of tank locomotives.
