This is a beautiful model from Rivarossi of the. Württemberg K Class 2-12-0 in original livery. These prototypes are very handsome and were designed by the Württemberg Design Bureau to operate on the grades within the Württemberg Staats Eisenbahn’s area of operations. The model is in excellent condition. When I was testing the model for the listing, it wanted to stutter at first. I ran it in for about twenty minutes, going in forward and reverse. Eventually, the running became smoother. I also noticed that there seemed to be a loose connection causing some of the stuttering. I noticed that this was the case when the unit made a right turn. I inspected the connections to the aft pair of drivers (without any disassembly) and made some minor adjustments. Again, the unit ran better. I think that sitting in its box on the shelf for years has not been conducive to its most recent performance. As stated, it has very little run time while in my possession. The detail parts and doo-dads have not been applied. The sachet is visible in the photos. It has its documents with it as well. These are some of my favorite locomotives and I hate to part with this one. All-in-all, a remarkable piece of kit from our friends at Rivarossi.
