This is a beautiful model from Rivarossi of the. Württemberg K Class 2-12-0 in original livery. These prototypes are very handsome and were designed by the Württemberg Design Bureau to operate on the grades within the Württemberg Staats Eisenbahn’s area of operations. The model is in excellent condition and runs beautifully. It has very little run time while in my possession. The detail parts and doo-dads have been applied, I did not apply them. The previous owner did. One thing about this unit is following the application of the piston rod extensions, it requires a broader radius curve. These accessories can be removed if you desire. I normally do not install these features on my steam locomotives because of my curve radii. It has its documents with it as well. These are some of my favorite locomotives and I hate to part with this one. It is a good runner and a good puller. It was a joy to run it as I was testing for this listing. It is quiet and strong and has remarkable low-speed control. All-in-all, a remarkable piece of kit from our friends at Rivarossi.
