LION, 1837 – 1859. Live steam coal powered scratch built scale model standing on rails on a period mahogany display stand with turned mahogany feet and brass name plate. A beautiful and superb model which must have taken years to build. Has come out of the attic where it was put in 2016 after a boiler and pressure system test. Test certificate to 17/10/2020 and not steamed since test. Inherited many years ago and i know little about the model unfortunately except that it is too good to use in my opinion! Truly a top drawer display item for a discerning collector. The level of detail is amazing , all metal except the wood cladding on the boiler. Total length with stand nearly 33 inches long by 14 by 2 inches stand height. Overall max height 15 inches.. Approximate length of locomotive and tender 25 plus inches. A bit dusty from being in the attic. It deserves being collected but would reluctantly post in 3 seperate parcels. I will do my best to confine the coal and chippings that make up the track but they are bound to seperate and will need re fixing. Brass is nice some very light tarnish here and there but nothing at all major. Wheels appear to have never saw use. Dont file claims and all that! Ive been as up front as I can. Vintage Fleischmann HO Steam Locomotive # 4171 in excellent to near mint condition with original box with nothing damaged or broken. Very lightly used, runs and looks great! This engine runs extremely smooth like all of the Fleischmann products and in my opinion the Fleischmann products are one of the best. The quality and attention to detail along with it’s operation really stands out. If you have never owned or used a Fleischmann, I would definitely recommend you give them a try. RARE Vintage Lobaugh LMT Brass O scale 2-8-4 (C&NW) Steam Loco TLC

Lobaugh made all their own parts, even the motor has a Lobaugh name tag. They were the 1. To utilize 2 rail power pick-up from both the engine and the tender; thus, the wiring between the 2 units. They are very heavy units, for their day, with the engine weighing 6 lbs. And the tender at 2 lbs. The loco is set up to operate on 2 rail DC track; however according to the website mentioned above, it could be converted to 3 rail AC. I tested it on a test track and got no response. I tried switching the plug-ins and got no response. I removed the engine shell (2 screws in the rear and 1 screw in the front) and touched power leads directly to the motor. It hummed and acted like it wanted to turn; but, there was just not enough power. The motor is free, I could easily turn it by hand. The loco shows a fair amount of fine detail, especially for its age. I did notice some paint scratches and other flaws. Front right marker light is missing screw mounted bracket is still there. Left rear tender step is missing. Solder spill on tender axle from making a wire connection. Front engine truck has a solder repair at the left wheel. Light surface rust spots on tender wheels and axles. 3 engine brakes are missing. The website mentioned above says Lobaugh locos were considered mechanical masterpieces and many of todays scratch engine builders prefer parts from these locos. I dont think it would take much to restore this loco in lieu of using it for parts. Because of the size of this package 11-12 lbs. Check out my other listings by clicking on.
