4-8-4 GS-2 Steam Engine and Tender. This set looks new to me, but I listed it as used because I noticed a small chip on the front of the tender, as-pictured. The sounds on this set are garbled and a new, fully charged battery is needed so the engine will perform properly. This set was part of a huge collection and spent it’s life behind glass and was never used. Because of this the battery was not kept charged and needs to be addressed for the system to perform properly. I programmed this set into my remote and did a quick spin and it worked great, but the sounds were garbled as noted above. The system information states this engine has. 5 scale miles on the odometer (I can supply a picture if interested). The inner factory wrapping was missing when I received this set so I wrapped the engine and tender in new tissue paper so that it is properly secured in the box and will show up in great condition. This is a massive, great looking engine. Some Features of this Item. Precision Flywheel Equipped Motor. All Metal Wheels, Gears and Chassis. Operates on O-54 Curves. Proto 2.0 with Digital Command Passenger Station Effects. (see picture of box end for full feature list). Manual Included in Box. The box has minor shelf wear and looks nice. ART-21501 Baltimore & Ohio 2-8-2 Mikado Steam Locomotive #4619 & Vanderbilt Tender. This is an excellent condition steam locomotive and tender. They only thing to note is there are some rub marks from the styrofoam packaging. In 2006 it was installed with a Sierra digital sound system. It was briefly run, than stored away. When I tested the sound unit, the sound was erratic and needed high voltage before it came on. I plugged the external overnight battery charger and it had the same result in the morning. Per the troubleshooting guide, it appears that the battery has fully drained and failed. Hopefully with a new battery installed, the sound should work as expected. The locomotive otherwise tested perfectly with all the lights working too. Included are extra couplers, side pipes, whistle, instructions and explosion diagrams.
