Holmside Live Steam Locomotive 7.25 Gauge Scale Coal Fired 0-6-0T Tank Engine. A well engineered 7 1/4 inch gauge model of a’Holmside’ 0-6-0 saddle tank locomotive, built to the design by Martin Evans. The silver soldered copper boiler with cab fittings including regulator, water sight glass, steam pressure gauge, two injectors, mechanical lubricator, safety valve and other usual fittings. The chassis with twin outside cylinders with fitted drain cocks. Stephenson’s valve gear and fluted motion. The model finished in traditional black and red livery with fitted steps, handrails and couplings, brass framed porthole windows to cab and simulated coal panel to back with filler cap to water storage tank. Boiler History: Boiler built by Mr Geoff Tomlinson. Boiler Number N24 100 119. Southern Federation of Model Engineering Societies. Examination Certificate of Pressure system No C 154882 Working pressure 100 psi. Boiler certificate expired the 7th of July 2017. Further past boiler history. Will require a check over before use. Most steam clubs will test and ticket the loco for free included in the price of your membership. Really dont want to let this one go but Ive got a wedding to pay for so its priced cheap to sell. Here we have a Hornby Railways Thomas & Friends model OLIVER Train Engine! Oliver is one of the classic and most loved characters in both the Railway Series books and the Thomas & Friends television series, and is WELL loved by fans all over the world! Oliver has an exciting backstory! He arrived on the Island of Sodor in 1967, at a time where steam engines were being withdrawn and scrapped throughout Mainland England. Oliver, his autocoach Isabel, and his brake van Toad ran away from the Great Western Railway in England, hoping to reach the safety of Sodor and the North Western Railway. Unfortunately, Oliver ran out of coal, but at the last second, Douglas managed to save him! Nowadays, they can be seen running on the Little Western Branchline by the sea, happily working together with Duck! This model of Oliver is a Hornby OO/HO model that was only available in the UK, with Hornby since having discontinued not just Oliver, but their entire Thomas and Friends line, making this item EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND! This model can run on HO/OO Scale track, and is compatible with the Bachmann Thomas & Friends range available. In fact, many fans, myself included, prefer the discontinued and rare Hornby Oliver to the currently available Bachmann version. This is because the Hornby version is bigger, and therefore correctly in scale, as opposed to the smaller Bachmann Oliver. However, due to the Hornby Olivers rarity, particularly in the US, not many fans have it. The difference in size compared to a Bachmann version will be shown in some of the pictures. The model condition is Very Good condition, with all of the buffers and brake pipes intact! The model runs smoothly, with the traction tires intact on the middle wheels. It is missing one of the hooks for its coupling, but the coupling is still usable! In addition, the white pipe on the back of the cab is broken on one side, probably fixable with a tiny bit of glue, and there is a slight scratch on the front, which will be shown. Some blemishes here and there (most notably on engine and tender sides). Incredibly well detailed brass piece. Features: TMCC, Railsounds w/4 chuffs synced per revolution, Fan driven smoke, Directional Lighting. You must start up engine using ENG + 1 + WHISTLE (or other non-AUX1 key) in order for sound to come on with engine. This is a factory design. The engine has been tested and works. This is 3-Rail, not 2-Rail. Wheels & Rollers show minor wear. Box was heavily damaged and repaired. There is some additional incomplete paperwork and pictures added in the box by the previous owner.
