This is the ultimate Christmas Present for him if he is a Lionel Train Collector. Beautiful 1937 Lionel 700E Scale New York Central Hudson 5344. This is a very good investment and could be resold at any time very easily. Take a look at the photos and see for yourself. Beautiful condition and runs up and down the track just like it should. Description for the Gentlemen. Guys, we all know what we are looking at here. Made from 1937 until 1942. Lionel 700E Scale New York Central 5344 Hudson 4-6-4. Super rare and hard to find. A friend says its unubtanium as in you just cant really find them. Take a look at the photos and you can see for yourself this one is in excellent condition. Serial number 011157 not sure if this is true or not but read that 01, means first year made (1937) and then 1157 would be 1,157 locomotive made. Rear screw of front truck has a washer added to it, obviously doesn’t belong as its bright silver. 1/8 between front pilot and top of the rail. No bent frame or damage. Was lightly oiled and motor is free. Runs forward and reverse without any problems or issues. Doesn’t show much wear on the rollers or drivers. Missing plug to locomotive (not sure if all of them had the plug and whistle or not). Missing whistle inside tender shell is empty. Not sure if all the tenders had the whistle or not. Small 1/16 or smaller hole in the coal load that is not noticeable. Not sure if this is supposed to be there or not. Rear coupler screw replaced with a bolt. Again not sure if this is correct or not. Its literally impossible to find information on these locos for tune up, or variations. All you can go by is someone elses photos and auctions. Locomotive will be wrapped in paper towels then wrapped in bubble wrap, then wrapped in cardboard. Tender will be wrapped in paper towels then wrapped in bubble wrap, then wrapped in cardboard. Rare and unusual “Steamlines” / American Locomotive Company live steam locomotive in 45mm Gauge (G Gauge). Chassis is CNC machined from a single piece of Aluminum, a strong and sturdy loco! The loco is piston valve (brass cylinders), the brake handle at the back is in fact the regulator / reverser. Its fitted with a dead leg lubricator situated in the left had side tank. Boiler fitted with two safety valves, pressure gauge. The wooden cab is easily removeable, I have recently revarnished this. The scale of this is slightly larger than 16mm, and could almost pass as being 7/8ths. Designed by Tom / Chris Cooper, dating from the early 1990’s. Here we have a rare and unusual “Steamlines” / American Locomotive Company live steam locomotive in 45mm Gauge (G Gauge). There was three different engines in this range, a Barclay called Aileen / Little Giant, a French one called Kidd and this an American outline one which was a “Dixie”. G on air briefly, but since then I think have altered something on the valve gear, as since then I have been unable to get it back to a running condition. Called Black Knight, its has one nameplate missing from a side tank. Dates from the early 1990’s. Steamlines was the last. Of Tom Cooper (Merlin). Chassis is CNC machined from a single piece of.
