This is a Legendary Lionel 763E Semi-Scale Hudson Steam Locomotive with Tender from 1937-42. This item has been graded per TCA standards C-5: Good. This unit has been cleaned and lubricated. The motor armature and E unit drum have been cleaned. This item has been re-wired at various points. The engine runs well. The whistle on the tender works. There are several rust spots on the frame of the locomotive. The tender shell is spidercracking and shattered. There is glue residue on the shell of the tender, as well. The original box is not included. Overall condition is Good. Lionel 763E Vintage O Lionel Lines Semi-Scale Hudson Steam Locomotive & Tender. This is the Semi-Scale Version of the famous 700E Scale Hudson. It differs from the 700e in having wheel flanges which work on regular Lionel tubular track, fewer piping and accessory details on the engine, and a smaller tender. Despite the reduction in attachments from the 700E, the engine features an enormous amount of detail. The tender has a whistle, and the locomotive has the 3-position e-unit. It will only run on curves 72 inch diameter or larger. The 763 ranks just behind the 700E on many collector’s wish lists. This is a great chance to own one of the most legendary model railroad locomotives ever produced. Signs of play wear, scratches, minor paint loss. Small dents, minor rust. Evidence of heavy use. Here is a Tenshodo 163 HO Scale BRASS ATS… Replaced the missing screw on the front truck assembly. The wheels and tender truck/body contacts have been cleaned. The Kadee couple of on the tender has been replaced. There are some light scratches and stains on the items. There is also some lightly chipped paint on the rear of the locomotive. Even though there are some minor imperfections, this brass locomotive and tender will make an impressive addition to any collection! The original box is included. I didn’t want to push it and risk damage so I tested for a short period. The set may need a cleaning to make it run better. Set is a little dusty. I noticed a few paint chips and a loose tender grab rail on the front of the unit. The box has some shelf wear and no inner foam. The box label has some writing. Please review all the pictures.
