This is a Lionel Scale #6-18043 Chesapeake & Ohio Streamlined 4-6-4 Hudson Steam Locomotive in the Silver & Yellow Color paint scheme and Numbered 490, all in the Original Box & Packaging, with Instructions. The Popular Hudson Steam Locomotive by ALCO are one of the most Popular Steam Locos in the Later Days of Steam, still talked about often and probably One of the most Liked as well. This Engine came out in 1995 as part of the Scale TMCC Locomotive Line for Lionel.. The Engine is an O Scale 3-Rail Very Highly Detailed Die Cast Body with Die Cast & Metal Frame, Die Cast Trucks and Metal Wheels. The model is unpainted and with some minor blemishes. The model ran well but noisy as expected of this model. The gearbox was cleaned and greased with Labelle 106 grease. The model is in a Hi Grade box but is not a Hi Grade model. The pilot is missing the piece under the coupler. A part of the valve gear that links the crosshead to the valve gear broke but does not inhibit the running capabilities. There is no parts bag included. PFM Crown Brass HO Scale- Chesapeake and Ohio Class H-8 Steam Locomotive 2-6-6-6 , New Old Stock. This is a very special Locomotive bought new in’82 Lot’s of detailed pieces. Please look at the photo’s, very impressive. Original Box and Packing, Foam in good shape. These are not toys and most are over 40 years old. Please note that I do not have the ability or inclination to test each and every one of these units. My dad never owned a piece of track and did not get to realize his Great Northern railroad in his retirement so, good or bad, these locomotives are as he bought them all those years ago. Having said that, there may be issues that are well known in the community with deteriorating plastic parts or known mechanical or quality control issues with manufacturers over the years that are well documented on the internet. This is a wonderful hobby and I’ve met many fabulous people so I certainly don’t want any unhappy customers. Locomotive: 10-1/2″ Long (Coupler to Coupler) x 2-1/4″ Wide x 3-3/8 Tall. Tender: 8-1/2″ Long (Coupler to Coupler) x 2-3/8″ Wide x 3-1/8 Tall. NOTE: Used, but in excellent overall condition. It was taken from a working train setup. I tested train operation with a piece of track and a controller and the locomotive moved forward, sound worked, and the main light lite up on front of locomotive (see pictures)! I do not know if this locomotive has a smoke unit. The locomotive appears to be free of any nicks that I can see (see pictures).
