I have decided to sell my DJB Coal Fired (Accucraft) Ragleth. Its runs extremely well, as one would expect from a DJB Coal Fired. Whilst I really do enjoy coal firing, the large form factor it really is chunky! Of the Accucraft Ragleth doesnt really fit in with the sort of stuff I run. I end up carrying around extra rolling stock if Im running coal and the whole thing is a bit too much effort! Also, beginning to get together a house deposit so a couple of items from the collection are going to fund that. Overall in very good condition, although cab roof has been modified to allow you to see the pressure gauge more easily. Black paintwork means it lasts a couple of runs before looking too grotty usually. Firing tools and blower are included for the asking price, as is a large wooden carry box and some coal/charcoal. I also have a safety valve bonnet and spare quick-fill connector which I will include for the asking price. Obviously I can post, but given that all the tools and carry case etc. Are to be included – I would recommend collection and of course we can steam it up and go over some basics of running coal fired if thats new to you! The information below is taken directly from the DJB website. New coal fired multi tube boiler with, Regulator, Safety valve, Water Gauge and Pump feed Clack Valve, Whistle, uses the Pressure gauge off the original engine. Crosshead driven pump with by-pass valve and Quick fill connector. Stainless grate and Ashpan. Original Lubricator is used. All pipework to connect :- Lubricator, Blower and Main Steam Pipe. Uses original Ragleth smokebox and Chimney. Boiler Cladding Sheet in brass. Etched inner side tanks to hold water for the pump with balance pipe. Any questions, just ask! The skirts are off and the alternative ladders are not completely installed as if the past owner was considering giving it a late all black paint scheme instead of Daylight colors.
