This is the ultimate Christmas Present for him if he is a Lionel Train Collector. Beautiful 1937 Lionel 700E Scale New York Central Hudson 5344. This is a very good investment and could be resold at any time very easily. Take a look at the photos and see for yourself. Beautiful condition and runs up and down the track just like it should. Description for the Gentlemen. Guys, we all know what we are looking at here. Made from 1937 until 1942. Lionel 700E Scale New York Central 5344 Hudson 4-6-4. Super rare and hard to find. A friend says its unubtanium as in you just cant really find them. Take a look at the photos and you can see for yourself this one is in excellent condition. Serial number 011157 not sure if this is true or not but read that 01, means first year made (1937) and then 1157 would be 1,157 locomotive made. Rear screw of front truck has a washer added to it, obviously doesn’t belong as its bright silver. 1/8 between front pilot and top of the rail. No bent frame or damage. Was lightly oiled and motor is free. Runs forward and reverse without any problems or issues. Doesn’t show much wear on the rollers or drivers. Missing plug to locomotive (not sure if all of them had the plug and whistle or not). Missing whistle inside tender shell is empty. Not sure if all the tenders had the whistle or not. Small 1/16 or smaller hole in the coal load that is not noticeable. Not sure if this is supposed to be there or not. Rear coupler screw replaced with a bolt. Again not sure if this is correct or not. Its literally impossible to find information on these locos for tune up, or variations. All you can go by is someone elses photos and auctions. Locomotive will be wrapped in paper towels then wrapped in bubble wrap, then wrapped in cardboard. Tender will be wrapped in paper towels then wrapped in bubble wrap, then wrapped in cardboard. Lionel 6-11103 Southern PS-4 #1403 Scale 4-6-2 Pacific with TMCC & Odyssey. Engine looks great and runs great. Has specific crew talk and tower com, TMCC (address #40), smoke, lights, Odyssey, flickering firebox glow, classification lights, powerful headlight, Pittman motor with high-torque (this engine can pull a decent amount of cars, it is fully die-cast) and a dual fat-boy sound system in the tender which really sounds amazing. However, the engine has had a little bit of work done to it. The rear ladder is a bit bent, and the rear truck on the tender has been epoxy glued since the die-cast snapped from the tension of the screws. I haven’t had any issues with it since then, and these are not visible while running the engine. Please see all photos and ask any questions you may have.
