In New boxed condition Marklin z Cab Forward Steam Locomotive & Tender. MHI Exclusiv 02/2014 One Time Series for Marklin Members. A First Time Edition from Marklin of a Fine Art handmade model in Brass. German State Railroad Company (DRG) class 05 003 Steam Locomotive & Tender, Cab Forward design. This locomotive is an exquisite, completely equipped brass handmade model in the elegant Dark Red paint scheme of the DRG in Era II. The locomotive has a powerful can motor with a bell-shaped armature that powers a metal gear drive, all driving axles are powered. The triple headlights are warm white LED’s that change over with the direction of travel. The upper lights (headlight for oncoming train) can be turned off separately by means of a switch. The locomotive has open spoke brass wheels. The spacing between locomotive & tender can be adjusted. The engineers cab has windows and a reproduction of the cab interior. Fill-in pieces are included for the cut outs on the skirting so that if required the model can be displayed perfectly in a display case. Additional parts are included to complete the buffer beam. The locomotive tender comes with a Marklin coupler at the rear. The locomotive has many separately applied lines and details. The brake imitations as well as sand pipes and rail clearance devices are indicated. The buffers have straight and curved buffer plates. Length over buffers approx. The model comes in a superb dark wooden presentation box. A metal replica of the builders plate is also included. This superb fine art all brass model from Marklin was made exclusively for Insider members and is Very Rare. The Locomotive is brand new and was only removed from the box for photographs. MTH RailKing Union Pacific. 4-4-0 General Steam Engine and Tender. This General appears new to me. I programmed it into my remote and did a quick spin and it worked great, but the sounds were a little garbled. The system information states this engine has 0.7 scale miles on the odometer (I can supply a picture if interested) and the battery is low. His is common for these older MTH engines when the battery levels are not maintained. As with every MTH engine, the battery needs to be fully charged for the engine to perform at it’s best. This is an awesome looking set and my favorite engine type. Some Features of this Item. Precision Flywheel Equipped Motor. All Metal Wheels, Gears and Chassis. Operates on O-31 Curves. 1963 Akane HO scale brass steam engine and tender USRA 2-8-2 heavy Union Pacific custom painted In original box Exact date made 11/7/1963 Country Tokyo Japan Vintage and some what hard to find Original certificate still inside the box lid A very nice steam engine and tender that has been kept in its original box for a while now because of my father’s long illness. Due to his illness and passing he wasn’t able to rebuild his layout again. Both of us have kept all of his collection in their original boxes. Well taken care of too, as you will see by the photo’s. This brass engine is custom painted. I tested the engine and tender, ran forward but stopped. I did the test with a portion of track and 9 volt battery. As you can see in photo no. 2 a wire isn’t attached. I’m not sure if it’s suppose to be that way. There is a parts bag inside box. The inside of the box does show wear, from age, but no tears, rips, or holes. The box does have wear on it from age. The original certificate, still attached, will give you the date it was finished and packaged in Tokyo Japan by Akane. Westside Models Brass HO Scale 4-8-2 Steam Locomotive. Great Northern # 2517. This is DCC Ready with 9 Pin Quick Plug. I did test run the engine. The Engine runs very well, smooth and quiet in both directions. This has had a can motor installed. Very nice paint job, a few areas show light paint loss (CHECK PHOTOS CAREFULLY). Original Box and Foam are in good condition. Box shows some shelf wear. Please check photos carefully as they are the best description. Most of my items come from estates and collections.
