Steam Train Model Locomotive Gr 835 Oil Lamps FS 1:87 Scale H0 DCC Sound Decoder. The shunting locomotives Gr. 835 represent one of the most long-lasting and popular Italian steam locomotives group: built between 1906 and 1922 in a total of 370 units, they are the evolution of the former Gr. 830 of the “Rete Mediterranea”, remained in service until’80s years and some units have been preserved in museums or as a monument in some Italian locations. Their technical features (380 HP of traction power and top speed of 55 kph) were adequate for the heavy shunting work in the main Italian yards and station to which they were destined, task accomplished tirelessly for decades thanks to their reliability. During the years they received several rebuilding or modifications to optimize the functioning, that together with the constructive differences between the sub-series it makes almost all units “unique”, with small details that differentiate one locomotive from the others.
