4-8-4 Steam Engine and Tender. This engine appears new to me, but I want to point out that the deck between the engine and tender is loose and in the box. I pictured the part and you will notice one side has a bent pin. On the train both rings (that would hold this part) are complete without issue. This is a very large set, measuring approximately 28 inches long. I tested this unit in conventional mode and with the remote and it sounded and worked great. Very nice looking set. Some of the features of this item (see box for complete listing). Die Cast Boiler, Chassis and Tender. Metal Wheel, Axles and Handrails. Proto-Scale 3-2-3 Rail/2 Rail Conversion. Delton 2-8-0 Denver & Rio Grande D&RG Steam Engine & Tender G Scale Locomotive

We have here Delton Locomotive Works engine #268 in beautiful Russian blue with red and burgundy trim. This locomotive has been tested and it runs forward and backward with utmost perfection. The light lights up nice and steady and it sounds like a real trooper. Although this loco hasn’t been on the track in years, a bit of 3-in-1 oil on the gears and the wheels spun up beautifully without a hitch. You might want to dance a feather duster over the beautiful brass trim pieces and quickly wipe any excess oil off the belly and you will be ready to rock and roll with this little gem. I cannot find any issues either cosmetically or mechanically although this little fella is getting on in years. It has been used in the past but only briefly when it was brand new. The box is old and it looks like it so expect an ugly box. The default rarely gives the best rate. Enjoy and check out my other locomotives if this one is not exactly what you want, I have about 80-90 listed at any given time. A lovely well built 45mm (2) Garden Gauge One 4-4-0 live steam Midland Railway. Johnson class 3 Belpaire Boilered locomotive. Believed to be a Keith Cousins/Paul Forsyth design locomotive. Silver soldered Boiler Meths sprit Fired. The loco measures 625 mm long (24). Single Cylinder, slip eccentric valve gear. Mechanical water pump with by-pass valve. Displacement lubricator between frames in cab. Hand pump fitted in tender. Pressure gauge, regulator and blower in cab Sprung buffers, scale coupling to front of loco and a sprung 3 link one to the rear of the tender. Show track included in sale. Been on display for a while so, will need lubricating and light re commissioning. No tight spots when moved forward or back. Cash on collection preferred. Quite heavy but, will post at cost fully insured and individually wrapped for damage protection. Fantastic Christmas present for you or your kids.
