Just minutes off the 80/90. 16620-1 HO Painted BRASS C&O K-4 2-8-4 Steam Loco #2759. This wonderful locomotive features painted and decorated brass construction, metal siderods, metal wheels, and motor. This locomotive and tender are in excellent condition. While I never want to say perfect I dont see any nicks scrapes, chips in the paint. All brass tubing looks in place and not bent. Frankly I think this loco was only ever displayed!! Are service staff has tested it and it runs fine in both forward and reverse. The original box is included, along with the foam liner. The liner is in great shape. Overall condition is Excellent. This locomotive was Accucraft’s own display model – hence the photograph of it on display. Lovely performer, with factory fitted RC. A bit like a Lady Anne, but more attractive in my view with it’s Hunslet-esque appearance and twin miniature safety valves, brass dome and copper capped chimney. Has the added bonus of a water gauge too. The only improvements I’ve made are a fine thread gas valve, a water fill valve and improved RC Transmitter and receiver – now 2.4Ghz (C3-STX pro 2.4 FHSS). Accucraft’s RC set-up allows easy manual control, if required. Here is the description from their website. Can be provided with water bottle if required. Also full instructions for use. Lawley is a freelance side tank locomotive with design inspirations from Hunslet. The loco is internally gas fired with a centre flue boiler. The boiler is fitted with a water gauge glass which will allow for continuous running with the addition of a boiler filler system. The model is gauge adjustable from 32mm (O gauge) to 45mm (1 gauge) and has insulated wheels as standard. The axles run in bronze bearings and all the rods and valve gear are manufactured from stainless steel. The engine is available in manual or radio control versions. The cab roof flips up and over sideways to give access to the gas, water and lubricator fillers. The boiler is fitted with a water blow down valve and the displacement lubricator has an under floor drain valve. The model is built from stainless steel and brass, and with the correct maintenance, will give a lifetime of pleasure. Scale: 16mm to 1 foot (1:19). Length over couplings: 360mm (13 ins). Gauge: 32mm or 45mm. Width: 116mm (4 ins). Min Radius: 0.75M (30 ins). Height: 160mm (6 ¼ ins). Weight: 3.8 kg (8¼ lbs). Reversing Gear: Piston type, reverse by lever in the cab. The factory painting is nice; however there are some brush type marks in the silver striping on both pieces. The decals on the silver stripe are also a bit noticeable.
