Rivarossi N Scale Y6B Mallet 2-8-8-2 no. 2197 Norfolk & Western Railroad Cat9138
Here we offer an N scale Rivarossi for Con-Cor Y6B mallet with 2-8-8-2 wheel configuration. The item comes in a Rivarossi perspex box with crack across the front. This is a fantastic piece of engineering and though I do not have n-scale track, i hsve tested the loco running by applying power to the wheels and all goes really well – see the attached video of this for confirmation that each of the wheels is picking up power. The return is via the 6 axle tender and again good electrical contact between wheels, wpier plates and connection to the loco has been confirmed. It is therefore a given that the loco will run on an N scale layout. I do think though, that the 2. Closely coupled, 4 axle driving bogies will require at least a 2nd radius curve.
