This is a custom-built Central Railroad of New Jersey 2-6-2 Camelback. It is built using a Bachmann 2-6-2, and still has the stock Rapido couplers. It is a DC locomotive. It has its original Bachmann jewel-case with the insert modified to accommodate the custom Camelback shell. Engine has been tested with analog DC control on a club layout using an MRC Tech 2 power-pack and runs fine in both the forward and reverse directions at reasonable speeds. The locomotive has been in storage for a few years, so it could benefit from a proper run-in period before entering regular service on your layout. Pearse Locomotives L&B’Lew’ 2-6-2 Live Steam Locomotive dual gauge (32mm and 45mm) with 2.4GHz radio control. Thinning down my collection due to furlough – please see my other items. Finished in Southern Maunsell Olive Green unlined livery – build number 538. Only 50 of these locomotives were built by Pearse. The green paintwork is in lovely condition – no scratches or dents. There are a couple of very small touch ups where numbers have been removed just behind the cab door openings on each side but they are hardly noticeable. Mechanically it is a superb runner in both directions, a real joy to drive, with no apparent wear in the connecting rods or valve gear. It has the usual Pearse features – copper boiler, water level blow down valve beneath the cab, steam shut off valve, pressure gauge and lubricator. Wheels and pony trucks are both adjustable for gauge using grub screws. Will be very well packed and posted using UPS next day. 16mm NGM Association member. 16mm Scale SM32 Live Steam Locommotive Project Bagnall Excelsior Not Wrightscale. Bought on a whim earlier in the year at a show, this Bagnall Excelsior Look-a-like project. Slightly over scale for a true 16mm representation but with the addition of a chassis it would make a nice model I think. Boiler is untested, but looks sound – clearly if using this youd want to get it tested. Some other bits in a box with it, photos but no drawings. Some wheels/axles but not sure they actually relate to this! Would suite a roundhouse basic chassis or maybe even a oscillator for a bit of fun. Bodywork is very nicely made, really looks smart and all square too. Just something else collecting dust in my workshop at present. Condition is Used/For Rebuild/Overhaul.
