KATO N SCALE C56 Koumi Line 2020-1 Model Train Steam Locomotive Japan import F/S. C56 is the smallest tender steam locomotive of Japanese National Railways. Accurately reproduce the light style. In the 1960s, commercialized a prototype car belonging to the Nakagome locomotive depot, which was called “Pony of the Plateau” on the Koumi Line. A compact steam locomotive, ideal for running on a compact layout. Compatible with Unitrack Compact R150. Newly developed power unit equipped with a coreless motor, which has a reputation for running, for small steam machines. Realize a smooth and stable run. It also supports back driving, which is a specialty of C56, and can be equipped with a double coupler. The snow plow is removable. Of course the headlights are on. The c57 is arguably the most famous steam locomotive built for passenger service in Japanese railroad history……. The “lady”, the nickname lovingly bestowed by the japanese because of the locomotive’s elegance in operation, had a top speed of 100 kp……. Even with the rapid electrification of japan’s railway operations and the arrival of the shinkansen, the c57 remained in service until the late 1960s. I acquired this c57 from a toy reseller in japan who offered no evaluation of the model……. Sometimes, ignorance is indeed bliss as, by any standard, the locomotive performs beautifully…….. N scale factored running speed is achieved at 25% on the rheostat; operation in both directions is smooth and consistent…… The head lamp comparatively vibrant considering the pre chip led design……. The wheel sets are clean………… All of the accessories – whistle, coupler alternatives for the front, and number boards – are present awaiting a new owner’s ministrations…….
