Here is an elderly oil fired steam engine and its Vanderbilt tender, all brass and steel. The set is from Westside, made by Katsumi Mokeiten Co Japan. The brass surfaces are tarnished but not corroded. Should be just fine for painting with some of cleanup prep. The engine runs great, forward and reverse, fast and slow. Other than its bell, we see nothing missing, nothing damaged, no faults. Comes in the original box with a boiler weight and screws. On our layout it ran properly as-is. This is a rare item and its performance is guaranteed. The truck on the tender has been replaced. This item has sound in the tender that will not work. One side step on the locomotive is bent. There are several scratches, and nicks on this locomotive and tender. The original box is included, along with the foam liner. The liner is torn and discolored. Overall condition is Very Good.
