This locomotive features a highly detailed brass body, powerful motor, detailed backhead, metal side rods, and metal wheels. This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent. This engine and tender are in great shape with minimal tarnish on the unpainted bodies. This is the O-scale Lionel 6-38028 Pennsylvania S-2 Steam Turbine #6200 6-8-6, 3 rail. This has been very slightly run. Stored in the box with no dust or damage. Test run on AC only did NOT test the Command Control. This is a magnificent item. This monster is 30Inches long! Powered by a 6900 horsepower Westinghouse direct steam turbine engine, the Pennsylvania S-2 was one of the first attempts at holding on to the age of steam. The constant torque of the rotary turbine eliminated the power loss found in the reciprocating parts of a conventional steam locomotive. Even though the massive 6-8-6 weighed almost one million pounds, the S-2 exceeded the performance of a 6000 horsepower diesel above forty miles per hour. Our model features newly enhanced tooling. Weve added many new separately applied details, most noticeably a set of elephant ear smoke deflectors that equipped the S-2 in its later life. The cab interior includes a flickering firebox and cab window glass. Alco Models Pennsylvania Railroad E5s 4-4-2 Atlantic Locomotive and Tender by Kobra models in Korea. This model is in good condition and does not show use wear. Tested and runs well in forward and reverse. Original drive shaft was shrunken and cracked from age and was replaced. The pilot board is missing a small step detail, and I believe there was originally a bell rope which is missing. Model appears unused, most likely displayed, with no tarnish. The box and foam are in excellent condition and includes small parts bag. Thanks for looking at Cherry Picked Trains! A couple of notes. I take packing seriously! I use bubble wrap, plenty of packing material, and sturdy boxes. Loose cars will be wrapped in tissue paper, then bubble wrap. I make every effort to list as accurately as possible. Westside Model Company Pennsylvania Railroad 4-4-6-4 Q-2 Duplex made by Katsumi in Japan. This locomotive is in great condition. Both gear boxes were cleaned, inspected and re lubricated as model was sitting for several decades. It runs really well, smooth and quiet with a large open motor. Paint looks good, with light fading/weathering. I would point out that when weathering valve gear they didn’t rotate it causing some obvious masked areas. One side of tenders decals are starting to show age with haziness. Original box has one split corner, foam has been replaced. Thanks for looking at Cherry Picked Trains! A couple of notes.
