Sunset Models Norfolk & Western 4-8-4 J Class made in Korea by Samhongsa and imported in 1983. Model is in excellent condition with very few finish flaws. Model has can motor and runs excellently. Nice details including backhead, opening cab vents, working retractable pilot coupler, etc. There are a few very small laquer stains. Original box and foam are in great shape, there is a nut driver tool in box. Lots of original foam has lost its memory or is deteriorating and will not serve its intended purpose. I replace or remove inferior foam as needed, use additional padding, water proof, and wrap with plenty of bubble wrap and air pillows. I use oversized boxes with all seams taped ensuring that you don’t receive a box of “parts”. I pay special attention to my brass items, as many have been cherished for decades, were handmade, and deserve to remain a part of modeling history. Thanks for looking at Cherry Picked Trains! HO Scale Brass Sunset Models PRR 2-8-0 Class H-8 Steam Engine Unpainted EC. This is a beautifully preserved model in excellent aesthetic condition. He collected them for over 50 years, but never had a train setup actually running, so these have just been in their respective boxes in large plastic bins in a storage unit for at least two or three decades, possibly 50 years, depending on when each was collected. Occasionally he would take them out and he would tell me (as a child) about them. So I say all that to say he has passed away and to my knowledge, he never ran them. Feel free to ask me any questions I can answer, or for additional photos. However, my father didn’t seem to have any tracks or power hubs thus far in my storage digging, so I cannot test anything. NJ Brass Reading Class G3 4-6-2 Locomotive and Tender made by KSM in Korea and imported in 1979. Very nice model with SoundTraxx Tsunami DCC/Sound. Model runs really nicely, and sounds great. Features back head detail and can motor. Custom paint looks good, the decals are showing a little haziness. Lights installed and working, speaker in tender connected with bi pin plug. Model shows some wheel wear, and holes in tender for speaker could have been drilled a little neater. Lots of original foam has lost its memory or is deteriorating and will not serve its intended purpose. I replace or remove inferior foam, use additional padding, water proof, and wrap with plenty of bubble wrap and air pillows as needed. The shell has been removed. The axles, motor and gearbox internals have been lubricated. The tender has brass wheels. These items have several tarnished spots on the shells. The shaft coupling between the motor and gearbox has been changed. This item has bench tested good. The tender has noisy wheels. The original box is included, along with the foam liner.
