Accucraft Caradoc live steam locomotive with 2.4GHz radio control and Summerlands Chuffer in excellent little used condition. Finished in GWR green with water top up valve, copper chimney cap, opening smokebox door and tool box. Really nicely proportioned loco with radio control professionally fitted to the reverser. Steams and runs well. This is the later version with smoke box rivet detail. Very few signs of use – just the odd small mark and a tiny dint in the brass dome that is barely noticeable. The tool box is secured using a small dab of silicone so it can be removed or re-located easily. Sale includes RC transmitter but no paperwork or box. From the Accucraft website: Caradoc is a freelance side tank locomotive with design inspirations from Hunslet. The loco is internally gas fired with a centre flue boiler. The model is built from stainless steel and brass and is gauge adjustable from 32mm to 45mm gauge and has insulated wheels as standard. The axles run in bronze bearings and all the rods and valve gear are manufactured from stainless steel. The cab roof slides backs to give access to the gas, water and lubricator fillers. The boiler is fitted with a water level check valve and the displacement lubricator has an under floor drain valve. Scale: 16mm to 1 foot (1:19). Length: 262mm (10 ¼ ins). Gauge: 32mm or 45mm. MTH Western Maryland M2. 4-6-6-4 Steam Engine and Tender. This is a big beautiful MTH engine. I want to point out that this set has some damage. One part of the traction wheel has come loose and bent. It is part of the third big wheel in the first picture that is missing the pictured part. I’m unable to fix it so I took it off the engine. I will include the part with the sale. You will notice two pieces in the picture, one being the rim and the other was a little detail I found in the box and I’m not sure were it goes. Once I took this piece off I tested the unit using my Proto 2.0 system and it worked beautiful. I didn’t notice any slipping of the wheels with the one traction tire missing, but I also have no grades on my test track. All the lights worked and it sounded awesome. This is a big unit and requires O-72 curves. All the features of this engine are highlight on the side of the box, so please review the picture detailing this information. Please review the pictures. BROADWAY LIMITED 3635 N Scale PRR M1a 4-8-2 6766 Paragon3 Sound/DC/DCC. 3635 PRR M1a 4-8-2, #6766, Paragon3 Sound/DC/DCC, N Scale In 1930, the celebrated success of the M1 Mountain-type locomotives prompted the Pennsylvania Railroad to order 100 more locomotives of the 4-8-2 wheel arrangement. The new locomotives became the M1a class and had a longer wheelbase than the M1’s due to the addition of the Worthington feedwater heater. They also received new larger tenders, class 210F75, which became known as the coast-to-coast tenders. The first 50 M1a locomotives, #6700 – 6749, were built by Baldwin. The Juniata Shops, which became knows as the “Altoona Works, ” built the next 25 M1a’s numbered 6750 – 6774, and the remaining 25 M1a’s were built by Lima and were numbered 6775 – 6799. Starting in 1946, 41 of the M1as received further improvements by increasing the boiler pressure and adding circulators to the firebox. The improved M1as became the M1b class. The best way to tell them apart is to look for the circulators on the firebox just above the running boards. The circulators are those round objects in a diagonal line that look like wash-out plugs. The PRR M1a/bs were considered to be the finest of the PRR’s steam locomotives. And in the end, they even hauled the heavy ore trains, which there were not originally intended to pull. Test run on AC only did NOT test the Command Control. This is a magnificent item. This monster is 30Inches long! Powered by a 6900 horsepower Westinghouse direct steam turbine engine, the Pennsylvania S-2 was one of the first attempts at holding on to the age of steam. The constant torque of the rotary turbine eliminated the power loss found in the reciprocating parts of a conventional steam locomotive. Even though the massive 6-8-6 weighed almost one million pounds, the S-2 exceeded the performance of a 6000 horsepower diesel above forty miles per hour. Our model features newly enhanced tooling.
