The three-cylinder 4-12-2 design used a pair of conventional cylinders that powered the third driving axle while an additional cylinder, mounted in the locomotive frame, drove the second axle. True to the prototype, the Lionel 4-12-2 includes detailed Gresley valve gear in front of the third cylinder and an operational, reciprocating third drive rod in the locomotive frame. Almost 90 locomotives of this type were built by ALCo by 1930. Of these enormous locomotives, the #9000 is preserved in Pomona, California. SMR Trains Dana Models O Scale Brass 4-4-0 WARR Yonah Steam Engine Set Damage

SMR Trains WARR 1862 General Yonah. 4-4-0 Steam Engine and Tender Set. O Scale – 3 Rail Set. Limited Run of 24 Units – This is Production Number 19. This is a beautiful brass offering. SMR made some wonderful 4-4-0 sets and this is a beautiful example of their work. Unfortunately they are no longer, but they created some wonderful trains for collectors. This General Yonah was tested and it worked fine. Set was cleaned, but it is still quite dusty and would benefit from additional cleaning. I was hesitant on getting to aggressive cleaning as I didn’t want to damage any of the details. This unit has a loose boiler front that appears to be an easy fix by adjusted the side tabs and securing back in-place. The smoke stack is also loose, but complete and it looks like it should be able to be fitted back in-place with a little adjustment so that it stays secure. I also noticed one set of steps that should be located under the cab area is missing and I’m not able to find that part in the box or parts bag. This unit was manufactured by Dana Models in Korea. The electronics were made in the USA and the motor in Switzerland. Very limited run on this colorful set. Set comes with factory box that has a few scratches, all interior foam and packaging, COA, parts bag and instructions with some train history. Please review the pictures. SMR made some wonderful 4-4-0 sets and this is a beautiful example of their work. Unfortunately they are no longer, but they created some wonderful trains for collectors. This General Haupt was tested and it worked fine. Set was cleaned, but it is still quite dusty and would benefit from additional cleaning. I was hesitant on getting too aggressive cleaning as I didn’t want to damage any of the details. I noticed the first support that holds the piping along the boiler is loose. MTH Western Maryland M2. 4-6-6-4 Steam Engine and Tender. This is a big beautiful MTH engine. I want to point out that this set has some damage. One part of the traction wheel has come loose and bent. It is part of the third big wheel in the first picture that is missing the pictured part. I’m unable to fix it so I took it off the engine. I will include the part with the sale. You will notice two pieces in the picture, one being the rim and the other was a little detail I found in the box and I’m not sure were it goes. Once I took this piece off I tested the unit using my Proto 2.0 system and it worked beautiful. I didn’t notice any slipping of the wheels with the one traction tire missing, but I also have no grades on my test track. All the lights worked and it sounded awesome. This is a big unit and requires O-72 curves. All the features of this engine are highlight on the side of the box, so please review the picture detailing this information. Please review the pictures.
