This listing is for a Key Imports N-Scale BRASS 2-8-2 H-10a New York Central. Engine is undecorated, brass finish does have some tarnish but not an issue if you intend to paint. Has been sitting in it’s box for years, the engine was tested and at first was a little stiff, I applied a small drop of lubricant to each of the metal gears and tested again. The engine started to run much better, the older brass engines which have metal gears do need some break-in time, usually fifteen to twenty minutes in each direction at a medium speed usually results a good running engine. Engine appears to be in excellent condition, looks like very little run time on the wheels. Comes in original box which does have minor self wear and includes parts pack. Up for your consideration is Pecos River Brass Santa Fe brass 4-6-2 Pacific 3400 series steam locomotive number 3425. It’s in fantastic condition, with original box and literature. DC operation, but can be converted. Unlike most brass, it runs very well. If memory serves, it has had some tungston added to the boiler for additional weight to assist in pulling power. Key Brass HO Scale 2-8-0 Steam Locomotive. Denver & Rio Grande Western. This is a beautiful little engine in excellent condition. Cleaned and relubed gearbox. Replaced rubber tube drive coupling. I did test run this engine and it runs very well in both directions, smooth and quiet. Very Good Original box and foam. Please check photos carefully as they are the best description. This 1960s issue K. Scale Models Southern Pacific 4-8-2 Mountain type Class 4300 MT-3 brass O scale factory assembled steam locomotive model is in barely used unpainted original condition.
