Locomotive has been custom painted and looks good. Paint is in good condition with a few very small chips. Model runs well, I would rate the running noise at 6 with 1 being quietest, and 10 being loudest. Wheels show light wear, plating looks good. Original box and foam in good condition, box has wear on corners. Lots of original foam has lost its memory or is deteriorating and will not serve its intended purpose. I replace or remove inferior foam, use additional padding, water proof, and wrap with plenty of bubble wrap and air pillows as needed. I use oversized boxes with all seams taped ensuring that you don’t receive a box of “parts”. I pay special attention to my brass items, as many have been cherished for decades, were handmade, and deserve to remain a part of modeling history. Thanks for looking at Cherry Picked Trains! A couple of notes. I take packing seriously! I use bubble wrap, plenty of packing material, and sturdy boxes. Loose cars will be wrapped in tissue paper, then bubble wrap. PFM Southern SRR F-1, 4-6-0 Ten Wheeler in Brass. The cardboard spacer supporting the roof vent is still in place. Beautiful patina that only the Japanese models tend to have. All original paperwork including paint/decal diagram. Built in Japan in 1977, this is probably the finest Southern brass model made in the 2Oth Century and I believe the last to be produced in Japan. RARE, used, Like-New, nicely done and heavy piece by Samhongsa in Korea for Williams. THIS IS THE SUPER RARE 2-RAIL VERSION – not to be confused with the more common 3-Rail Versions. There may be a few minor scratches, and missing details or imperfections. Nothing that stands out. Very clean overall for this piece! There is one brake shoe that came off but can be re-attached. It is included in the box if you choose to re-attach it. The engine has been tested, serviced, and works as it should. There is no smoke – by design. This is 2-Rail DC powered only. Wheels show minor wear. There are some scratches on the underside of the frame. Both engine and tender are well secured in factory original box. Box has some damage. KTM Brass O Scale Texan 2-10-4 Santa Fe Steam Engine #5012. KTM Brass O Scale Texan 2-10-4 Santa Fe Steam Engine. This engine is an incredible example of Santa Fe steam, other than paint it looks ready for service. This one owner engine was in a display case its whole life, I do not think it was run much if at all. It does not have the original box. Please note: This is an old engine, it sat on a shelf or in a box for a long time. While we bench tested it we strongly recommend you do a complete cleaning/lube job on it before you put it in service. We recommend this for any old train before using it, they will last forever but they need a little maintenance once in a while. Please see pictures for details on the condition of the items. NJ Custom Brass Pennsylvania Railroad Class C-1 0-8-0 made in Korea by KSM and imported in 1978. Model is in good condition with very little tarnish. Previous owner engraved collection number onto bottom of unit and a Japanese? Character that matches one inside box. Unit has can motor and runs well, eccentric cranks have been repaired and are solid, they are not soldered which will make future work easier. Rear tender step casting has been soldered, is solid, laquer on step has some discoloration due to heat. Spare hardware bag included. Original box has been taped on one corner. Lots of original foam has lost its memory or is deteriorating and will not serve its intended purpose. I replace or remove inferior foam as needed, use additional padding, water proof, and wrap with plenty of bubble wrap and air pillows. I use oversized boxes with all seams taped ensuring that you don’t receive a box of “parts”. I pay special attention to my brass items, as many have been cherished for decades, were handmade, and deserve to remain a part of modeling history. Thanks for looking at Cherry Picked Trains!
