Westside Models Company Long Island Railroad G5s 4-6-0 ten wheeler by Katsumi in Japan. The Long Island G5s was built by Pennsylvania Railroad and modeled after their G5, although it used a K4 tender. This model is in excellent condition and runs well; wheels show no wear. Original box is in great condition, middle foam has been replaced. Box paperwork, and two original parts packs are included. Model has light tarnish. Lots of original foam has lost its memory or is deteriorating and will not serve its intended purpose. I replace or remove inferior foam, use additional padding, water proof, and wrap with plenty of bubble wrap and air pillows as needed. I use oversized boxes with all seams taped ensuring that you don’t receive a box of “parts”. I pay special attention to my brass items, as many have been cherished for decades, were handmade, and deserve to remain a part of modeling history. Thanks for looking at Cherry Picked Trains! A couple of notes. I take packing seriously! I use bubble wrap, plenty of packing material, and sturdy boxes. Loose cars will be wrapped in tissue paper, then bubble wrap. These items are extremely detailed with beautiful brass construction. However, there are a few very timy tarnished spots on these locomotives and the red dye from the oriinal line has rubbed off in several small areas on one locomotive. The wooden box is damaged with one broken and loose wooden strip on one end. The foam liner is included, however it is faded in areas. Overall condition is Excellent. Westside Model Company Pennsylvania Railroad 4-4-6-4 Q-2 Duplex made by Katsumi in Japan. This locomotive is in great condition. Both gear boxes were cleaned, inspected and re lubricated as model was sitting for several decades. It runs really well, smooth and quiet with a large open motor. Paint looks good, with light fading/weathering. I would point out that when weathering valve gear they didn’t rotate it causing some obvious masked areas. One side of tenders decals are starting to show age with haziness. Original box has one split corner, foam has been replaced. Thanks for looking at Cherry Picked Trains! A couple of notes.
