Aileen 1/16th Live steam Engine 45mm G scale. I bought this in 1993. Been in storage ever since. Still in original box it came in, with everything that was in the box. Some of the documentation has faded over time. There is some fine surface rust on the cabin, which is not deep and can be cleaned up. All the mechanism is still free. A lovely well built Gauge One 4-4-0 live steam Midland Railway. Johnson class 3 Belpaire. Believed to be a Keith Cousins/Paul Forsyth design locomotive. Silver soldered Boiler Meths Fired The loco measures 625 mm long (24). Single Cylinder, slip eccentric valve gear. Mechanical water pump with by-pass valve. Displacement lubricator between frames in cab. Hand pump fitted in tender. Pressure gauge, regulator and blower in cab Sprung buffers, scale coupling to front of loco and a sprung 3 link one to the rear of the tender. Track included in sale. Been on display for a while so, will need lubricating. No tight spots when moved forward or back. Cash on collection preferred. Quite heavy but, will post at cost fully insured and individually wrapped for damage protection. There is foam residue adhered to several areas of the shell on the locomotive and tender. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is included, without a foam liner. United HO Scale Brass Southern R. Pacific 4-6-2 Locomotive & Tender NIB. Original Box and Packing, some foam starting to show age. Items will be wrapped in bubble wrap to protect them as needed from deteriorating foam. These are not toys and most are over 40 years old. Please note that I do not have the ability or inclination to test each and every one of these units. My dad never owned a piece of track and did not get to realize his Great Northern railroad in his retirement so, good or bad, these locomotives are as he bought them all those years ago. Having said that, there may be issues that are well known in the community with deteriorating plastic parts or known mechanical or quality control issues with manufacturers over the years that are well documented on the internet. This is a wonderful hobby and I’ve met many fabulous people so I certainly don’t want any unhappy customers.
